Employees in forestry understand they're part of a large value chain. A piece of the puzzle. So it's no surprise that many of them volunteer their time as firefighters both at the Sawmills and in their own communities. Fire is a huge risk to the forestry industry, in the woods and at the mills. The fire brigades at our sawmills are 100% volunteer and work in tandem with the local community fire department.
