Dare to Lead: Empowering women through courageous leadership
Four dozen women from across J.D. Irving, Limited’s Woodlands and Sawmill divisions were invited to take part in Dare to Lead, a transformative leadership development experience earlier this fall in Fredericton, N.B.
The workshop, presented by the Woodlands and Sawmill divisions, offered training designed to help participants lead with courage, clarity and authenticity. Led by Janna Hare, founder and CEO of Spark Leadership, the session followed the Dare to Lead framework of renowned author and researcher Brené Brown. Janna’s approach equipped participants with practical strategies for navigating complex leadership challenges.
Participants received guidance on how to master feedback conversations and understand the importance of being courageous in leadership during the insightful and energizing workshop. The event sparked meaningful conversations among attendees, particularly surrounding the topic of providing feedback and how, with the right tools, this sometimes-difficult action can become a powerful act of leadership.
J.D. Irving, Limited is proud to invest in leadership development that empowers team members to lead with purpose. The Women in Leadership: Dare to Lead event is one way the company is building a culture of courageous women leaders across the organization.
