Jody Gallant has been working with J.D. Irving, Limited for nearly a decade. In that time he's been helping improve our business in any way he can!

Jody graduated from NBCC Moncton with a Computer Engineering Technology certificate and started working for various small businesses in northeastern New Brunswick. One of his customers was a paper mill in Saint John, where he had his first encounter with the J.D. Irving, Limited group of companies. Not long after that he was offered a job with the Sawmill Division. 

Initially he worked at the Doaktown Sawmill with the Maintenance team, where he was tasked with finding opportunities for optimization. When he moved to the Hardwood & Pine Department, he took many of his experiences and projects to the rest of the sites across the Division. 

Jody was an integral part of the $35 million modernization project in Doaktown, as well as the robots in Veneer, Dixfield and Doaktown. He works in collaboration with the Lumber Sales team when they work on new value-added products. 

"This is second to none in the world, I mean there are no other Eastern White Pine sawmill in the world that would surpass the level of technology that we have here," says Jody of the Doaktown Sawmill.
